Abstract of the Disclosure An article of polyacetal is improved in whetherability by treating an article of polyacetal with an acidic solution of sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid or a mixture thereof so that the treated article may have a remaining coefficient of luster of 5 to 90 percent on the surface and coating the article with a paint of a melamine paint, an alkyd paint, a urethane paint, an ester paint, an acrylic paint or a mixture thereof, having a thickness of 5 to 200 microns.
