Two spray units (8, 9) are arranged along a conveyor (3). Painting surface of a panel (11) carried on a conveyor (3) is divided into four painting areas (CAa-CAd). Each of the painting areas (CAa-CAd) is painted by reciprocating the spray units (8, 9) in the direction parallel to the carrying direction. On the boundary of the painting areas (CAa-CAd), the position of the turning parts (Ta0-Td0) in reciprocation of the spray units (8, 9) is shifted from the front side to the rear side in the carrying direction, thereby forming stepwise paint tracks (Ta-Td). Thus, it is possible to enlarge the painting area per single unit of the spray units (8, 9).

Deux unités de pulvérisation (8, 9) sont disposées le long d~un transporteur (3). La surface de peinture d~un panneau (11) transporté sur un transporteur (3) est divisée en quatre secteurs de peinture (CAa-CAd). Chacun des secteurs de peinture (CAa-CAd) est peint par un mouvement de va-et-vient des unités de pulvérisation (8, 9) dans la direction parallèle à la direction de transport. A la limite des secteurs de peinture (CAa-CAd), la position des parties de changement de direction (Ta0-Td0) lors du mouvement de va-et-vient des unités de pulvérisation (8, 9) est décalée du côté avant au côté arrière dans la direction de transport, pour former ainsi des sillons de peinture par paliers (Ta-Td). Il est donc possible d~agrandir le secteur de peinture par chaque unité des unités de pulvérisation (8, 9).
