A furrowing tip selectively mounts on an opener body to produce a paired row furrow opener. The furrowing tip includes a knife portion and a pair of wing portions formed integrally in a single bodied replaceable tip. A deflector is provided, which may be formed on the tip body and which co-operates with the wing portions to produce a pair of parallel rows offset laterally in opposing directions from a centred row deposited behind the knife portion. When the knife portion and wing portions become worn, only the tip body requires replacement.
