PALATABILITY ENHANCEMENT WITH FATTY ACIDS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This application discloses a method of enhancing the flavor of a dog food composition by adding flavor improving fatty acids to the feed composition. The fatty acids may be applied directly to the food particles, mixed with the food particles, applied over a fat coating, or incorporated in a fat coating. The flavoring may be added in the amount of between about 0.00001 - 0.1% by weight of the food and the flavor enhanced acids comprise caprylic acid, capric acid and mixtures thereof.
