Abstract of the Disclosure A container for liquids includes an inner plastic container member and an outer sheet metal jacket tightly abutting the container member. The jacket has a welded-on cover and bottom and lugs for attaching the jacket to a palette. A palette supports the container member and jacket. The plastic member has sealable inlet and outlet openings. Preferably the cover and bottom are roller-welded and the metal edges and recesses of the jacket have flanged or roller beads. The lugs overlap a rolled bead at the bottom of the jacket.
