Abstract of the Disclosure A pallet is formed with a retention ledge extending outwardly from the upper portion of the pallet sidewall. A heat shrinkable sheath encompasses a plurality of articles and the top portion of the pallet including the reten- tion ledge. A pallet cover can be placed on top of the stack before or after the sheath is thermally shrunk.
