A B S T R A C T A pane assembly for windows and the like which may comprise a single glass pane or a plurality of panes to provide a multiple glazed unit is provided with a slider on at least one edge, the slider being at least partially enclosed in an elastic sealing member at the edge. The slider is capable of holding fixing and mounting members for the pane which may be positioned at different points on the slider.
