A method of operating a resonant panel-form loudspeaker, comprising arranging the loudspeaker panel near to a boundary so as to be acoustically linked to the boundary and with the plane of the loudspeaker panel at an angle to the boundary. The method may comprise moving the panel between a rest position in which the panel is parallel to and adjacent the boundary and a position of use in which the panel is at an angle to the boundary. A resonant panel-form loudspeaker support comprising means engaging and retaining the loudspeaker panel to be supported, means adapted for engagement with, and fixing to, a boundary, e.g. a wall or ceilling, and means connecting the respective loudspeaker and boundary engagement means, whereby the loudspeaker is supported adjacent to the boundary and at an angle thereto and such that the loudspeaker is linked acoustically to the boundary. The combination of a resonant panel-form loudspeaker and a support as described above.
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de mise en oeuvre d'un haut-parleur en forme de panneau résonnant, qui consiste à disposer le panneau du haut-parleur à proximité d'une bordure de manière à créer une liaison acoustique avec la bordure, le plan du panneau du haut-parleur formant un angle avec ladite bordure. Ledit procédé peut consister à déplacer le panneau entre une position de repos dans laquelle le panneau est parallèle et adjacent à la bordure et une position d'utilisation dans laquelle le panneau forme un angle avec la bordure. L'invention se rapporte à un support de haut-parleur en forme de panneau résonnant, comportant un organe d'accouplement et de retenue du panneau de haut-parleur devant être supporté, un organe conçu pour s'accoupler et être fixé à une bordure, par exemple un mur ou un plafond, et un organe conçu pour relier le haut-parleur respectif et l'organe d'accouplement à la bordure. Le haut-parleur est ainsi supporté à proximité de la bordure et de façon à former un angle avec celle-ci, de sorte que le haut-parleur est relié acoustiquement à la bordure. L'invention se rapporte à la combinaison d'un haut-parleur en forme de panneau résonant et d'un support du type de ceux décrits ci-dessus.
