A grease composition comprising a base oil and a thickener that meets specified low temperature torque and high temperature evaporation requirements uses a base oil consisting essentially of a mixture of dimer, trimer, and higher oligomers of poly olefin wherein less than 10 wt% of the oligomer mixture is dimer.

L'invention concerne une composition de graisse renfermant une huile de base ainsi qu'un épaississant satisfaisant des conditions spécifiées de couple à basse température et d'évaporation à haute température, laquelle utilise une huile de base constituée essentiellement d'un mélange de dimère, trimère et d'oligomères supérieurs de polyoléfine dans lequel un dimère représente moins de 10 % en poids du mélange d'oligomères.
