An antigen-presenting system (APS) comprising one or more enterobacterial antigens in combination with a papaya mosaic virus (PapMV) or a virus like particle (VLP) derived from papaya mosaic virus is provided. The PapMV or VLP included in the APS is capable of potentiating an immune response against said one or more enterobacterial antigens. The APS can be used, for example, as a vaccine against enterobacterial disease, such as typhoid fever. The one or more antigens comprised by the APS can be conjugated to a coat protein of the PapMV or PapMV VLP, or they may be non-conjugated (i.e. separate from the PapMV or PapMV VLP), or the APS can comprise both conjugated and non-conjugated antigens. Conjugation can be, for example, by genetic fusion with the coat protein, or binding via covalent, non-covalent or affinity means.
L'invention porte sur un système de présentation d'antigène (l'APS) comprenant un ou plusieurs antigènes entérobactériens en combinaison avec le virus de la mosaïque de la papaye (PapMV) ou une particule du genre virus (VLP) tirée du PapMV. Le PapMV ou VLP de l'APS sont capables de potentialiser une réaction immunitaire contre lesdits antigènes entérobactériens. L'APS peut être utilisé, par exemple, comme un vaccin contre une maladie entérobactérienne telle que la fièvre typhoïde. Le ou les antigènes de l'APS peuvent être conjugués à une protéine de coque du PapMV ou du PapMV VLP, ou ils peuvent être non-conjugués (c'est-à-dire séparé du PapMV ou du PapMV VLP), ou l'APS peut comprendre à la fois des antigènes conjugués et non-conjugués. La conjugaison peut par exemple se faire par fusion génétique avec la protéine de coque, ou par liaison covalente, non-covalente ou par moyens d'affinité.
