A method and apparatus for depositing various coating materials on a traveling web by passing the coating through a dispersing medium. The web of material in traveling through processing or handling machinery may be effectively and desirably spray coated in-line by equipping the same with the apparatus of the present invention. The coated material is sprayed onto the inside surface of a permeable conveyor and transferred through to the web.

Cette invention concerne une méthode et un appareil d'application de divers matériaux de revêtement sur une bande en mouvement, l'application étant réalisée par l'intermédiaire d'un diffuseur. L'appareil objet de l'invention, monté sur une machine de traitement de papier en bande, permet d'appliquer en ligne un revêtement pulvérisé de caractéristiques appropriées. Le matériau de revêtement est pulvérisé sur la face intérieure d'un transporteur perméable et transféré à la bande de papier.
