A flexible counter (10) for an embossing system provides resilient support under a sheet which opposes pressure from a contoured die forming an embossment in the sheet. The flexible counter (10) includes a resilient mat and a fixed bolster (20) which supports the mat. The bolster (20) has a peripheral wall which extends around sides of the mat so that an upper portion of the mat protrudes above the peripheral wall. In addition, the bolster (20) inlcudes support surfaces bounded by recesses. The support surfaces support a bottom surface of the mat, and the recesses receive bulging portions of the mat when compressed under pressure from the die.
L'invention concerne un support flexible (10) pour système de gaufrage, ce support constituant un élément de soutien élastique pour feuille, destiné à s'opposer à la pression exercée par un moule profilé afin de former un gaufrage dans cette feuille. Le support flexible (10) de cette invention comprend un mat élastique et un châssis fixe (20), sur lequel repose ce mat. Ce châssis (20) présente une paroi périphérique qui s'étend autour des cotés du mat, de sorte qu'une partie supérieure de ce mat fait saillie au-dessus de ladite paroi périphérique. Ce châssis (20) comprend en outre des surfaces de support délimitées par des renfoncements, ces surfaces de support étant conçues pour soutenir une surface inférieure dudit mat, et lesdits renfoncements pour recevoir les parties renflées de ce mat, une fois celui-ci comprimé sous pression dans le moule.
