Improved Paper Forming Roll Construction ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Paper forming roll comprising a rotatable foraminous shell extending around a stationary pressure box having pressure chambers; spacing members secured to the box and extending between the box and shell and defining a forming zone, a primary holding zone, a transfer zone and a secondary holding zone, a first ported external wall of the box communicating the forming zone with a pressure chamber and a second external, vertically extending ported wall of the box communicating the primary holding zone with a second pressure chamber; and a drip element parallel to said second wall whereby fiber in the water past the primary holding zone spacing member will fall to the lower inner surface of the shell without impinging upon or adhering to the box.
