The invention pertains to the field of paper making. A headbox is characterised by a platen including, for each tube, a divergent passage (35) opening into a corresponding channel (37) at the wider cross-section thereof, and by partitions (36) with a length (d') shorter than that of the chamber (d) defined between the platen and the generator (26). The invention is useful for paper-making machines with upstream regulated dilution.
