A paper mask device in which the position of longitudinal masks can be changed without damaging a web of printing paper. When it is changed from the borderless printing to the printing with border, one ends of the longitudinal masks are moved inwardly toward each other by means of a first transfer unit while keeping the other ends overlapped on the edges of the printing paper. A second transfer unit then operates to move the other ends of the longitudinal masks inwardly to set the width of the print size. The longitudinal masks can be overlapped on both edges of the printing paper without damaging it.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif de masquage qui permet de modifier la position des masques longitudinaux sans endommager la bande de papier d'impression. Pour le passage de la position d'impression sans marge à la position d'impression avec marge, les masques longitudinaux sont déplacés l'un vers l'autre à une extrémité par un premier dispositif de transfert tandis qu'ils sont maintenus sur les rives de la bande de papier à leur autre extrémité. Un deuxième dispositif de transfert intervient alors pour rapprocher les autres extrémités des masques longitudinaux pour délimiter la largeur d'impression. Les masques longitudinaux peuvent être appliqués sur les deux rives de la bande de papier sans l'endommager.
