The invention concerns paper or cardboard with improved printability, designed to be printed with gravure or flexographic printing, consisting of a base fabric coated with at least a standard surface coat, a coating of a composition based on specific pigments for improving the standard surface coating contact with printing ink, said composition containing at least a specific pigment selected in the group including silicon, precipitate calcium carbonate (PCC), calcined kaolin on their own or mixed, and being deposited on the base fabric in the proportion of not more than five grams per square meter (5g/m<2>). The invention also concerns a method for making said paper or cardboard.
Papier ou carton à imprimabilité améliorée, destiné à être imprimé par héliogravure ou flexogravure, constitué d'un support fibreux enduit d'au moins une couche traditionelle de surface caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte entre le support fibreux et la couche traditionelle de surface, une couche d'une composition à base de pigments spécifiques destinée à améliorer le contact de la couche traditionnelle de surface avec l'encre d'impression, ladite composition d'une part, comprenant au moins un pigment spécifique choisi dans le groupe comprenant la silice, le carbonate de calcium précipité (PCC), le kaolin calciné seuls ou en mélange, et d'autre part étant déposée sur le support fibreux à raison d'au plus cinq grammes par mètre carré (5 g/m2). L'invention se rapporte également aux procédés de fabrication de ce papier ou carton.
