ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A cationic dispersant consisting of a copolymer made up of the monomers N,N'-dimethylamino(meth)acrylate, (meth)acrylic acid ester of a C10 to C22 fatty alcohol, methacrylate, acrylic and/or methacrylic acid. It is suitable for producing stable dispersions of sizing agent which may be used equally well for internal or surface sizing. The new dispersions of sizing agent may also contain aluminium salts.
