A papermachine belt comprises a layer for providing strength in the cross- machine direction (~the cd supporting layer~) and additional layers of polymeric material. One of the layers of polymeric material is provided on one side of the cd supporting layer and another of the layers of polymeric material is provided on the observe side of the cd supporting layer. The amount and type of polymeric material provided on either side of the cd supporting layer is selected so as to eliminate edge curl.

L'invention concerne une courroie de machine ~ papier comportant une couche pour d~velopper une force dans le sens travers (<=la couche support cd>=) et des couches additionnelles en mat~riau polym­re. Une de ces couches polym­res se trouve sur le verso de la couche support cd et une autre est sur le recto de ladite couche support cd. La quantit~ et le type de mat~riau polym­re dispos~ sur chaque face de la couche support cd sont choisis de mani­re ~ ~liminer l'enroulement des bords.
