The present invention provides methods and reagents for treating or preventing papillomavirus infection. In one aspect, the invention provides reagents and methods for attenuating the ability of papillomavirus to bind to cells by blocking access of papillomavirus to its cellular receptor. In another aspect, the invention provides reagents and methods for attenuating the ability of papillomavirus to infect cells by reducing the free titer of papillomavirus. In yet another aspect, the invention provides a complex comprising a biologically active substance and a ligand that recognizes CD16 and a method of delivering a biologically active substance to a papillomavirus-infected cell using the complex.
L'invention concerne des procédés et réactifs destinés au traitement ou à la prévention de l'infection au papillomavirus. Dans un de ses aspects, l'invention concerne des réactifs et procédés destinés à atténuer la capacité du papillomavirus de se lier à des cellules, par blocage de l'accès du papillomavirus à son récepteur cellulaire. Dans un autre aspect, l'invention concerne des réactifs et procédés destinés à atténuer la capacité du papillomavirus d'infecter des cellules, par réduction du titre du papillomavirus. Dans un encore autre aspect, l'invention concerne un complexe comprenant une substance, active sur le plan biologique, ainsi qu'un ligand reconnaissant CD16, de même qu'une méthode d'apport, au moyen de ce complexe, d'une substance active sur le plan biologique, à une cellule infectée par le papillomavirus.
