ABSTRAC? New compuunds of the fosmula Image I or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, in which formula R- is H, a straight or branched alkyl group containing 1-5 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group containing 3-6 carbon atoms, or a cycloalkylalkyl group containing 4-6 carbon atoms; R2 is H, Cl, Br, or F; n is 2, 3, or 4; R11 and R12, which are the same or different, are H, an alkyl group containing 1-4 carbon atoms, a hydroxyalkyl group containing 1-4 carbon atoms, an alkoxyalkyl group containing 2-4 carbon atoms in total, or R11 and R12together with the adjacent nitrogen atom form a morpholino group, are described, as well as methods for their preparation, pharmacautical prsparations thereof and methods of treat- ment employing the same. The compounds are potent .beta.1 selective adrenoceptor blockers having a degree of intrinsic activity.
