The invention relates to a parachute consisting of a parachute canopy comprising an apex and a base, as well as rigging lines attached to the base for holding the object to be decelerated by means of the parachute. The parachute is prepared for use by folding the parachute canopy and rigging lines into a pack. The invention is characterized in that the parachute canopy (10) pack consists of concentric gathered folds (20) obtained by gathering the canopy fabric, which is laid out in the inflated airborne shape of the parachute, across the entire circumference of the canopy (10), from the base (12) to the apex (11) and across the full height of the canopy (10).
L'invention concerne un parachute constitué d'une voilure présentant un sommet et une base, et de suspentes attachées à la base, servant à maintenir l'objet à freiner au moyen du parachute. Pour préparer ce parachute en vue de son utilisation ultérieure, la voilure et les suspentes sont pliées de manière à former un paquet. L'invention est caractérisée en ce que le paquet formé par la voilure (10) comprend des plis resserrés concentriques (20). Pour obtenir ces plis, on resserre le tissu de la voilure, placé dans la position qu'il prend lorsque le parachute est déployé une fois en vol, sur l'ensemble de la périphérie de la voilure (10), à partir de la base (12) jusqu'au sommet (11) sur toute la hauteur de la voilure (10).
