The present invention relates to parallel reaction devices (100) that include reaction blocks (102) having arrays of reaction wells. Devices of the invention also typically include lids (110, 112) having arrays of protrusions (116) disposed thereon, which protrusions (116) axially align with the reaction wells and/or attachment components (106, 108) that include hinges (108) that permit lids (110, 112) to be removed from reaction blocks (102).
