A parametric loudspeaker which uses multiple piezoelectric bimorph transducers (62). These multiple piezoelectric bimorphs (62) have a resonant frequency which varies from unit to unit. The phase response at and near the resonant frequency changes at a very high rate with slight changes in frequency. The associated modulator electronics have a primary carrier frequency that is optimized for maximum parametric output. This is achieved by aligning the carrier frequency with the flattest portions of the phase curve for maximum phase coordination among the multiple devices.
L'invention concerne un haut-parleur paramétrique qui utilise plusieurs transducteurs piézo-électriques dimorphes. Ces éléments piézo-électriques dimorphes ont une fréquence de résonance qui varie d'une unité à une autre. La réponse en phase à la fréquence de résonance ou à une fréquence proche de celle-ci change à un taux très élevé avec de légers changements de fréquence. L'électronique du modulateur associée comprend une première fréquence porteuse qui est optimisée de façon à obtenir une sortie paramétrique maximale. On obtient ce résultat en alignant la fréquence porteuse avec les parties les plus plates de la courbe de la phase afin d'obtenir une coordination de phase maximale parmi les multiples dispositifs.
