A method for electronically reserving a parking space at a parking facility through a computer network comprises the step of accessing by a user communication with a server computer on the computer network, the server computer operating a program for reserving a parking space at a parking facility and containing data relating to a plurality of parking facility and the time for which a parking space is required in the parking facility, and reserves for the parking space in the parking facility (figure 1, item 14). Payment is effected for the parking space by providing information to enable the server computer to directly or indirectly transfer funds for the parking reservation from a user designated payment source to target account. Then, confirmation from the server computer is received that the parking reservation has been made.
La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant la réservation électronique d'une place de stationnement dans un parc de stationnement par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau informatique. Ledit procédé comprend la mise en relation d'une communication utilisateur avec un ordinateur serveur sur le réseau informatique, l'ordinateur serveur prenant en charge un programme permettant de réserver une place de stationnement dans un parc de stationnement et contenant des données associées à une pluralité de parcs de stationnement et les horaires pour lesquels une place de stationnement est disponible dans le parc de stationnement, et réserve la place de stationnement dans le parc de stationnement (figure 1, rubrique 14). Le paiement de la place de stationnement s'effectue par communication d'informations permettant à l'ordinateur serveur de transférer directement ou indirectement des fonds servant à payer la réservation de la place de stationnement, à partir d'une source de paiement stipulée par l'utilisateur, vers un compte cible. Ensuite, l'ordinateur serveur envoie une confirmation informant l'utilisateur que la réservation de la place de stationnement est faite.
