The systems described herein include one or more wireless vehicle detectors (1301), along with a distributed parking payment system such as parking meters or a paystation. Information from the payment system and the vehicle detectors (1301) may be combined to determine when a parking violation occurs, or is about to occur. This information may then be transmitted through a communication system to a parking enforcement officer (1305), along with information about the geographic location of the violation. The information may also, or instead be transmitted to a parking payer (1305) to notify the payer (1305) of an impending infraction so that the payer (1305) may purchase additional parking time before the violation.

L'invention concerne des systèmes comprenant un ou plusieurs détecteurs de véhicules sans fil, ainsi qu'un système de paiement de parking réparti tel que des parcmètres ou une station de paiement. Les informations en provenance du système de paiement et des détecteurs de véhicules peuvent être combinées en vue de déterminer si une infraction a eu lieu ou va se produire.
