A parking meter with advertising structure. The parking meter comprises a pole having one end embedded within a ground surface and the other end with the meter attached thereto. Advertising structure is located on the pole and spaced from the meter. The structure has a unitary advertising surface formed from three vertical panels disposed in the form of a triangle around the pole and attached thereto. The advertising structure is attached to the pole internal of the three vertical panels. The three vertical panels have an upper surface not conducive for retention of objects.
