ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to linear saturated partially crystalline copolyesters which consist of residues of tereph- thalic acid, from 1 to 60 mol % of the terephthalic acid residues optionally being replaced by isophthalic acid residues and/or by residues of one or more saturated aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, and of residues of glycol mixtures, wherein they contain 1,4- butane diol and 1,6-hexane diol in a molar ratio of 90:10 to 10:90 as glycol mixtures in co-condensed form, said copolyesters having maximum logarithmic damping decrements in the range from 0.6 to 1.3 and a reduced viscosity of from 0.5 to 1.5, as measured at 25 C on 1% by weight solutions in a mixture of 60 parts by weight of phenol and 40 parts by weight of 1,1,2,2,-tetrachloro- ethane. These copolyesters are advantageously used as thermoplastic adhesives.
