An interleaver (11b) for filling an interleaver matrix (51) used in interleaving a packet of bits for transmission as symbols via a wireless communication channel in a wireless communication system (11 12) including a modulator (11c), the interleaver (11b) having a number of rows (or columns, depending on whether bits are pulled column-wise or row-wise for encoding as symbols by the modulator) that is not divisible by the number of bits in a symbol, but having at least as many bits as in a packet, and so having, unavoidably, more elements than there are bits in a packet.
L'invention concerne un entrelaceur (11b), servant à remplir une matrice d'entrelaceur (51), qui est utilisé pour entrelacer des paquets de bits avant leur transmission sous forme de symboles, via un canal de communication sans fil, dans un système de communication sans fil (11 12) comportant un modulateur (11c). Cet entrelaceur (11b) comprend un nombre de rangées (ou colonnes, selon que les bits sont extraits par colonnes ou par rangées en vue de leur codage en symboles par le modulateur) qui n'est pas divisible par le nombre de bits dans un symbole, mais comprend au moins autant de bits que dans un paquet, et comporte ainsi, inévitablement, plus d'éléments qu'il n'y a de bits dans un paquet.
