ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Polymerizable, liquid, substantially gel-free, partially polymerized monomer compositions having allylic utilizations greater than 50 percent can be prepared if the monomer which has been partially polymerized is bis(allylic carbonate) monomer of at least one 4,4'-(alkylidene)bis[phenol], bis(allylic carbonate) monomer of at least one 4,4'-[phenylenebis(alkylidene)]bis[phenol], or a mixture thereof.
