DRYER SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The system for drying wood products includes a heat source for providing heated gases at a constant temperature. The heated gases are supplied to individual dryers through a common supply plenum connected to individual dryer inlet plenums. The system includes means for adding ambient air at the dryer inlet plenum to temper the heated gases so as to maintain a constant temperature at the dryer outlet while varying the dryer inlet temperature as a function of the amount of moisture to be removed.
