Fibres of filaments suitable for the production of a nonwoven fabrics, the fibres or filaments consisting essentially of a polyolefin or a copolymer thereof and 0.01-20 % by weight of inorganic particles, substantially all of the particles having a Mohs hardness of less than about 5 and preferably less than about 2, at least 90 % by weight of the inorganic particles having a particle size of less than 10 µm. Talc particles are particularly preferred. Particle-containing staple fibres according to the invention can be continuously formed into a web and thermobonded to a nonwoven fabric at high speeds, and they have a broad bonding window, reduced static electricity and a reduced friction coefficient.

L'invention porte sur des fibres ou filaments convenant pour la fabrication de non-tissés et consistant principalement en une polyoléfine ou en un polymère de celle-ci auquel on a ajouté de 0,01 à 20 % en poids de particules minérales présentant sensiblement toutes une dureté Mohs inférieure à 5 et de préférence inférieure à 2 et dont 90 % au moins en poids présentent une taille inférieure à 10µm. Les particules de talc sont particulièrement préférées. Des fibres synthétiques à filer contenant des particules, selon l'invention, peuvent servir à former en continu un voile lequel est thermocollé à un non-tissé, et ce à vitesse élevée, et ells présentent une large plage de liaison, une faible production d'électricité statique et un faible coefficient de frottement.
