A porous sheet article including a self-supporting nonwoven web of less than 20 weight percent polymeric fibers exhibiting no more than about 1 weight percent dimethyl methyl phosphonate uptake and at least 80 weight percent sorbent particles enmeshed in the web, the sorbent particles being sufficiently evenly distributed in the web and the fiber polymer(s) being such that the web has an Adsorption Factor A of at least 1.6 X 104/mm water. The articles have low pressure drop and can provide filter elements and other individual or collective protection devices having long service lives and an Adsorption Factor approaching and in some instances exceeding that of a packed carbon bed.
L'invention concerne un article en feuille poreux comprenant un voile non tissé autoportant à moins de 20% en poids de fibres polymères présentant pas plus d'environ 1% en poids d'assimilation de diméthyl méthyl phosphonate et au moins 80% en poids de particules sorbantes enchevêtrées dans le voile. Ces particules étant réparties de manière suffisamment égale dans le voile et le/les polymère(s) de fibre étant tels que le voile et le/les polymère(s) de fibre étant tels que le voile possède un facteur d'adsorption A d'au moins 1,6 X 104/mm d'eau. Les articles présentent une faible perte de pression et peuvent constituer des éléments de filtre et d'autres dispositifs de protection individuels ou collectifs ayant une longue durée de vie utile et un facteur d'adsorption approchant voire, dans certains cas, dépassant celui d'un garnissage en carbone.
