ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A non binding particle trapped to outer sheath contact means for use in gas insulated transmission lines having a corrugated outer conductor. The non-binding feature of the contact means according to the teachings of the invention is accomplished by having a lever arm rotat- ably attached to a particle trapping means by a pivot support axis disposed parallel to the direction of travel of the inner conductor/insulator/particle trap assembly.
