A method of fabricating a preformed core material by utilizing a particulate preform process. The particulate core material is combined with an adhesive binder and deposited upon a porous surface (6), through which air is drawn, having the desired preform shape. Once the adhesive sets the deposited layer of core material is removed from the porous surface (6) and may be used as a core in a closed molding process. This method may also be used to fabricate a preformed laminate by depositing layers of fiber material before and/or after a core material is deposited.
L'invention concerne un procédé de préformage particulaire destiné à la fabrication d'un matériau noyau préformé. Le matériau noyau particulaire est associé à un liant adhésif et déposé sur une surface poreuse (6) présentant une forme de préformage désirée et à travers laquelle de l'air est aspiré. Une fois l'adhésif durci, la couche de matériau noyau déposée est retirée de la surface poreuse (6) et peut être utilisée comme noyau dans un processus de moulage en circuit fermé. Ce procédé peut également être utilisé pour fabriquer un stratifié préformé par dépôt de couches d'un matériau fibreux avant et/ou après le dépôt d'un matériau noyau.
