ABSTRACT "Particulate Dispersions" A dispersion in an aqueous medium of an organic particulate solid is provided substantially all the particles of which have a size less than 100 microns. The dispersion contains a polymeric composition which is soluble in the aqueous medium and which comprises a copolymer of at least one hydrophobic monomer and at least one hydrophilic monomer. The soluble polymeric composition provides improved stabilization of, for example, polymer latices in emulsion paints and of organic dyestuffs under high temperature conditions.
