An apparatus is provided for injecting particulate material into a processing vessel, such as an air mill. The apparatus includes an eductor having an air input and an output passage connected to the processing vessel. A vacuum passage on the eductor is connected to the upper end of a fluidizing chamber which has an open lower end. Particulate material is supplied to the fluidizing chamber by a screw conveyor. The vacuum generated by the eductor draws air and entrained particles from the fluidizing chamber and the particles are mixed with the air stream in the eductor and injected into the processing vessel.
