Claimed is a particulate rinse aid for machine dishwashing, comprising a) from 10 to 90% by weight of one or more matrix materials selected from polymers which are solid at room temperature, b) from 90 to 10% by weight of one or more active ingredients, and c) from 0 to 10% by weight of further active substances and auxiliaries. The claimed particulate rinse aid composition may be provided as a commercial form which may be used either separately, as a solid-form rinse aid to be dosed by the user, or else as an admixing component to pulverulent machine dishwashing detergents.
