ABSTRACT "Parts For and Methods of Repairing Turbine Blades" A method of repairing a fluid flow machine element comprising the steps of a) manufacturing an insert having a first part of durable material, a second part of a material the same as or compatible with said machine element so as to be readily attachable thereto and a barrier between said first part and said second part made from a material softer than said first part or said material the same as or compatible with said machine element. b) removing damaged material from said machine element substantially the shape of said insert; and c) securing said insert to said machine element.
