ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides in parts subject to wear coming in contact with a metal melt the improvement in which such parts are made of a hydraulically setting high- alumina refractory concrete having a compression strength when cold, measured on the dried crude product, of at least 400 kp/cm2, rising to at least 700 kp/cm2 after firing at 1400°C, and a dimensional stability at 1400°C of at least 0.2%.
