ABSTRACT In a passageway adapted to allow communication between a pair of swing stages positioned substantially in an end-to-end relation and substantially at a same level. The passageway comprises a stirrup adapted to be mounted to an end of a first one of the pair of swing stages. This end is adjacent an end of a second one of the pair of swing stages. The passageway further includes a platform pivotally mounted to the stirrup and adapted to be moved at least from an inoperative position on the first one of the pair of swing stages to an operative position wherein both the swing stages are joined at least by way of the platform thereby providing communication therebetween.
