An instrument panel has a curved wall provided with a closure. The closure may include a pair of doors which swing apart to form an opening through which the air bag deploys. The edge of the opening is curved to mate with the curved instrument panel wall. Similarly, hinge means for the closure is curved to match the curve of the edge of the opening.
