ABSTRACT An article for sanitizing toilets comprising a dosing dispenser having a calcium hypochlorite cake composition housed within a reservoir, characterized in that the cake comprises an effective amount of a selected water-soluble salt. The cake is formulated such that upon contact with water it exhibits controlled swelling, i.e., it will swell less than a calcium hypochlorite cake made without said selected salt.
