A coupling device for installation in a building wall or floor to provide a passthrough opening for pipes, tubing, and the like comprises an axially elongated, plastic tubular housing with a radially extending mounting flange and having open first end and a second end which is closed by a transverse wall. At least one tubular coupling element having an entrance end and an exit end is positioned within the housing to extend axially thereof with the entranceend of the coupling opening to the first end of the housing. Intumescent firestop material surrounds the coupling element and fills the space between thecoupling element and the outer housing. A tube member extends from the coupling element to the second end of the housing. After the coupling device is installed, the second end of the housing is cut away at the surface level of the partition to expose the tube member for connection to the associated piping system.
Dispositif de couplage à installer dans un mur ou un plancher afin de fournir une ouverture de traversée pour des tuyaux, des tubes et autres articles semblables. Le dispositif comprend un logement tubulaire en plastique allongé dans le sens axial, muni d'une semelle de montage se prolongeant dans le sens radial et ayant une première extrémité ouverte et une deuxième extrémité fermée par une paroi transversale. Au moins un élément de couplage tubulaire, ayant une extrémité d'entrée et une extrémité de sortie, est placé à l'intérieur du logement de façon à se prolonger dans le sens axial avec l'extrémité d'entrée de l'ouverture de couplage jusqu'à la première extrémité du logement. Un matériau coupe-feu intumescent entoure l'élément de couplage et remplit l'espace entre ce dernier et le logement extérieur. Un tube se prolonge depuis l'élément de couplage jusqu'à la deuxième extrémité du logement. Après l'installation du dispositif de couplage, la deuxième extrémité du logement est découpée au niveau de surface de la cloison de façon à révéler le tube afin de le raccorder à la tuyauterie correspondante.
