ABSTRACT A pastry-forming device for forming a thin pastry, having a mould surface about which a pastry dough may be wrapped to form a pastry having the desired shape. More particularly, the pastry-forming device comprises a pair of mutually abutting members, which in a preferred embodiment are pivoted to a frame. Such pair of mutually abutting members are slidable for a distance relative to each other, and each posses converging half-surface members which together form a head portion or mould surface at one end thereof. These half members further possess mutually abutting intermediary portions extending respectively therefrom. The head portion thereof is adapted to be pivotably positioned above a planar surface, so as to allow clamping of dough which may be located on the planar surface between such surface and the head portion. Portions of the dough not clamped may be wrapped around the head portion to form the pastry. Removal of the formed pastry from the head portion is accomplished by raising the head portion from its position of contacting engagement with the planar surface, and slidably displacing one half surface member relative to the other, which thereby dislodges the pastry from the head portion, allowing for easy removal of the pastry from the pastry- forming device.
