A heat cured pasty veneer material, used primarily in dentistry, is provided. The material is resistant or immune to interdental cracks while in use as a veneer on, for example, crowns and bridges. The material is heat cured at about 115°C for about 15 minutes in conventional heat curing apparatus. In the illustrated embodiment the pasty dental material comprises about 10-90% polymerizable urethane-acrylic monomer, about 0-80% inorganic fillers (coarse), about 5-60% pyrogenic silica (microfine), about 0.2-10% heat activated polymerization initiators, and about 0-70% fractured particles of polymerized organic fillers.
