A patch characterized by comprising formoterol and/or salt thereof as a medicinal ingredient, a solvent therefor, a tackifier, and an excipient and/or a plasticizer and being substantially water-free. The patch serves to effect percutaneous absorption of the formoterol and/or salt thereof, allows the drug efficacy of the compound to persist stably for long, and thus is efficacious for diseases which can be cured or prevented by exciting .beta. receptors, such as asthma.

Cette invention concerne un timbre percutané, lequel comprend du formotérol et/ou un sel de celui-ci en qualité d'ingrédient médicinal, un solvant de ces derniers, un agent donnant du collant, ainsi qu'un excipient et/ou un plastifiant. Ce timbre ne comprend quasiment pas d'eau, et permet d'assurer l'absorption percutanée du formotérol et/ou du sel de celui-ci. Ce timbre permet également au composé d'avoir une activité médicamenteuse durable et qui reste stable. Il peut ainsi être utilisé dans le cas de maladies que l'on traite par l'excitation des récepteurs .beta., tel que l'asthme.
