Hamburger patties that are prepared through mass-production must be well cooked but not burned and should also remain juicy. To ensure that the Hamburger meat is well cooked, the amount of heat should be adjusted to the thickness of the patties. Another way to cook the patties properly is to adjust the thickness of the patties to the amount of heat available. The new invention is based on matching the thickness of the meat patties to the amount of heat available from cooking facilities. The equipment for this purpose consists of a surrounding-ring of an appropriate diameter, thickness and height, a bottom and a top plate are prepared each with a pressing-disc, and several matching-discs. The ring is used to keep diameters of the patties constant. In the wall of the ring is a hole prepared to allow the surplus meet be squeezed out. The pressing discs press the meat and the matching-discs are changeable to change the thickness of the patties. This discs are placed into the ring on top of the bottom pressing- disc. The matching-discs together with the bottom pressing-disc are covered with a thin celluloid film or a plastic foil to avoid the meat from sticking to the mould. A certain amount of meat is put into the ring and pressed down with the top pressing-disc. The top pressing-disc is also covered with a plastic foil. While pressing the meat, the surplus meat is then squeezed out of the mould through the ring hole and matches the patty thickness as required. The top plate with pressing-disc and the surrounding-ring are then removed to take the meat patty out of the mould. If the test patty is not cooked properly, the distance-disc should be changed accordingly until the meat is properly cooked. Once the thickness of the test patty is matched to the regulated heat of the cooking facility, the subsequent patties can then be made thereafter at any time with the same setting of the equipment.
