A patterned susceptor structure of relatively thin electroconductive material for converting incident microwave energy to thermal energy. The patterned susceptor has a lobe shaped island strip (22) nested within and surrounded by an outer strip (24). The island strip is coupled to the outer strip to stimulate uniform heating between an outer edge (23) of the susceptor structure and a center portion (25) of the susceptor structure. The island strip is coupled to the outer strip by spacing the island strip from the outer strip with a microwave transparent slotline (26).
Structure à motifs de capteur d'énergie micro-ondes en matériau conducteur électriquement relativement mince servant à convertir l'énergie micro-ondes incidente en énergie thermique. Cette structure présente une bande (22) isolée en forme de lobe encastrée à l'intérieur d'une bande extérieure (24) et entourée par cette dernière. La bande isolée est couplée à la bande extérieure afin de stimuler un réchauffement uniforme entre un bord (23) extérieur de la structure et une partie centrale (25) de ladite structure. Cette bande isolée est couplée à la bande extérieure par éloignement de ladite bande isolée par rapport à ladite bande extérieure au moyen d'une ligne à fente (26) micro-ondes transparente.
