A paving sheet is formed of a non-opaque, preferably transparent, thermoplastic resin layer, optionally reinforced with chopped glass fibres near one surfaces and having applied thereto a stone effect in the form of stone chippings. Such a sheet can be applied to a substrate, by being heat softened, for example using a blow torch, and then smoothed on the substrate.
