A pawl assembly is disclosed comprising a threaded shaft of noncircular cross section, a pawl of generally elongate shape having a circular through hole, and a clip that is nonrotatably mounted on the shaft and which contacts the pawl to prevent rotation thereof. The clip has a noncircular through hole that corresponds to the noncircular cross section of the shaft and a bent portion that contacts a side surface of the pawl to prevent rotation. By using such a clip, the pawl can be oriented in multiple angular directions while also providing for precise axial placement on the shaft. The pawl assemblies may be used in latches for cabinets and the like.
Cette invention concerne un mécanisme de fermeture comportant un axe fileté de section non circulaire, un pêne de forme généralement allongée et percé d'un trou circulaire et un clip monté sur l'axe de façon non rotative pour empêcher le pêne de tourner autour de cet axe. Le clip comporte un trou non circulaire de section identique à celle de l'axe et un bord replié qui prend appui sur une des faces d'extrémité du pêne pour en empêcher la rotation. Grâce à ce clip, on peut donner au pêne cliquet une multitude de positions angulaires et fixer sa position avec précision sur l'axe. Le mécanisme objet de l'invention peut servir de loquet d'armoire et d'articles analogues.
